Kats for Christ Meetings
Each week we gather together at various times. Some students only come to our Wednesday night Bible Study, others want to enjoy our homemade pizza nights, and even others really love serving with us. We praise God for any moment you can offer yourself to Him more fully! That may mean doing something with us; it may mean going somewhere else. We encourage everyone to pursue being a mature disciple of Jesus wherever.
So many opportunities will come your way if you have eyes to see them and ears to hear them. Which opportunity is God calling you to choose?
At the KFC Building we have a little time of a cappella singing that begins at 6:30pm on Wednesday nights. Then, about 7:00pm, we get our shovels out and dig deep into God’s word every week. Our study is very conversational and incredibly practical! This semester we are taking a walk through the gospel of Luke with a specific interest in seeing how alive Jesus seems to be!
Catching a glimpse of the vision offered in Isaiah 2:1-5 (read “The Message” version) of a radically different way of relating to God, we are seeking to discover the way that God works so that he can teach us directly the way we’re made to live. We believe that Jesus lived as a person fully alive! Come join us this semester every Wednesday night for some lively discussions, great experiences, and new perspectives for life.
Once a month (typically the last Thursday of every month) we meet at 6:30pm at the KFC Building to go on campus for a time of singing praises to God. This usually includes singing praise songs, prayers, scripture readings, and a short, biblical message. It is truly a time to refocus ourselves on important matters.
After this (about 7:30pm) we go back to the KFC Building to cook homemade pizzas and hang out. We play pool, air hockey, ping pong, and other games to build authentic community. It is a healthy alternative to the Thursday night party scene! Refreshing actually! Many actually come around just for the pizza! That is awesome! We hope you come enjoy this good time of Christian fellowship.
We have a college class that meets before the morning services at Huntsville Church of Christ at 9:00am in the church library (that is the room on your right as you come in the main entrance). During this time we pray together, read through various texts of the Bible, and have general discussion about it. It is unlike normal Bible classes because we are mainly reading the text and responding as the Lord leads. Come and join us for this edifying experience.
Each Sunday college students spread throughout our city to meet in various small groups that we call SHARE groups. This is a great opportunity for students to get to know other Christians.
