Kats for Christ Weekly Meetings
Every week we gather together at various times throughout the week. Not everyone comes to all things, nor is that expected. If you really like digging in God's word, Wednesday night will be important as well as Sunday mornings. If singing really gets you going, come experience our Thursday Devo. If you want to connect with families, connect with other students, and pray through your struggles and joys, SHARE groups is the fit.
Every week there are plenty of opportunities for God to work in you. Which one is God wanting you to invest in?
At the KFC Building we have our college Bible class that begins at 6:30pm. You can expect much good biblical discussion and application in these classes. Come ready to participate! To get a feel for what these classes have been like, check out our podcast page. We are still deciding what would be most beneficial for our discussion time in Fall 2010. Let us know if you have any good ideas.
This semester we will meet at the KFC Building and go on campus for a time of devotion to God. Devo starts at 6:30pm. This usually includes singing praise songs, prayers, scripture readings, and a short, biblical message. It is truly a time to refocus ourselves on important matters.
After devo (about 7:30pm) we will go back to the KFC Building to hang out. We play pool, air hockey, ping pong, and other games in an effort to build authentic community. It is a healthy alternative to the Thursday night party scene! Refreshing actually! On some Thursday nights during the semester (you'll have to check the calendar) we will cook homemade pizzas in our pizza ovens during this social interaction. We hope you come enjoy this good time of Christian fellowship.
We have a college class that meets before the morning services at Huntsville Church of Christ at 9:00am in the church library (that is the room on your right as you come in the main entrance). During this time we pray together, read through various texts of the Bible, and have general discussion about it. It is unlike normal Bible classes because we are mainly reading the text and responding as the Lord leads. Come and join us for this edifying experience.
Each Sunday college students spread throughout our city to meet in various small groups that we call SHARE groups. This is a great opportunity for students to get to know other Christians.
