We do a lot of things at the Student Center, all of which foster a true sense of sharing a life of faith together with other college students. Generally-speaking, we have one service project and one fun, fellowship activity per month. Every week, we have a devotional (singing and a biblical message) and share some pizza on Thursday nights.
Anyone can be a part of KFC. We have any flavor from country to jock to geek to rocker to all those in between. It is amazing to see how God has gifted us so differently, yet we are united at the same time.
While our activities at the Student Center involve college students, it would not be out of the norm to also find adults in our Wednesday night classes at church. We embrace opportunities for college students to be integrated into the life of the local congregation. It is here that our faith grows the most.
There are a few ways to get informed. One, signup to receive our KFC emails. Just send Chris your email address at blairgolfer@gmail.com.
Two, check out this website. The homepage is updated weekly and the calendar page also stays current.
The third way to stay informed is to come to our events. We make announcements about upcoming events and things to remember. This is, by far, the best way to know what is going on.
If there is something specific you want to know about, just give us a call. (936) 295-6001

Our building is located on the SHSU campus at the bottom of the hill at the corner of Avenue J and 17th Street behind the Residence Life building. The sign out front says, "Kats for Christ." There is a link for a map at the bottom of this page.
Huntsville Church of Christ is located about 1 mile west of I-45 on Highway 30 (go toward the fair grounds). It is on the left-hand side (south side) of the road. The address is 3737 Highway 30 West. You can call the church office at (936) 295-3884. There is a link for a map at the bottom of this page.
Since many students live on or near campus, it should be no problem to find a ride to church. Because we do not have a regular system established for getting a ride to church, you must take the initiative to ask for a ride. Call or email Courtney or Chris to get a ride. (936) 295-6001

There are students who worship at various congregations in and out of the city. I encourage students to find a place where they can experience true community. If this is leads them to another congregation, praise the Lord!
We are primarily supported by Huntsville Church of Christ, but many other churches and individuals share in covering the costs of Kats for Christ. If you or your church would like to help with the expenses involved with our ministry at Sam Houston State University, please contact our campus minister, Chris Blair.
